S&G Cleaning Saves the Day
Let’s time-travel back to February 2015. It was a cold winter in Somerset County, New Jersey. Snow storms, freezing pipes, the usual! Our cleaners were cleaning a regular client’s home. We’ll call him Mr. B. Mr. B was out of town, on a work trip to Washington, DC. Still, he entrusted S&G Cleaning and our team with cleaning his home while he was gone. So, our cleaning team was doing what they do best and cleaning his home as usual. They were going down the checklist and getting in the corners and crevices to make sure Mr. B would come back to a clean home.
Then, all of a sudden, they hear an explosion in the kitchen. Shocked and surprised, curious and concerned, they all ran to the kitchen. You would not believe what made that crazy sound! The water pipes in the kitchen had broken due to severe freezing in the town. Though this was beyond their technical job description, our cleaning team took it upon themselves to resolve the issue.

First, they tried to call Mr. B and the local police department. He was likely busy at work and the police department recommended that we proceed in getting the situation sorted out. So, we also called a local plumber to adjust the valves and stop the water flow. Meanwhile, our cleaners put in extra effort to quickly dry the water and even reclean the kitchen floors. This helped minimize the damage to the flooring and internal framework of the home.
Upon his return, Mr. B called the office to thank the team and even donated $500! He was so pleased with their service and next-level dedication to ensuring his home remained clean and intact. This is one of our team’s favorite stories and memories amongst us. Not because of the $500 but because we were at the right place at the right time!
